Hall of Horrors
In the mood for a bit of pre-Halloween fright? Head over to 1153 Walter Price Rd. in Cayce for the Hall of Horrors. Have some fun chills and scares from some of the best fright-night performers around, and contribute to a good cause as all proceeds from the Hall of Horrors go to local charities, notably the SC Jaycee Camp Hope, a camp experience designed for children and adults with learning disabilities and special needs. Stutman Hollow Haunted Attraction
Among the many local places to look for scares in October is the Stutman Hollow Haunted Trail (213 Stutman Rd. in Leesville). “Nestled in the dark woods of Stutman Hollow is a fear of the unknown. A family moved out to Stutman Road where their son had always wanted to do a haunted trail. Deceased Farm
If you’re ready for Halloween thrills, then head to Clinton Sease Farm (382 Olde Farm Rd.) for the Deceased Farm haunted attraction. Take a self-guided spooky tour of 6 terrifying buildings, three outdoor zones and creepy corn fields. This event is for adults and for children over 12. Tokyo Joe (concert)
Veteran Columbia band Tokyo Joe and the Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W. Main St.) present their 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Research Fundraiser. Pumpkin Patch
Bring the kids to Clinton Sease Farm (382 Olde Farm Rd.) and have a fun afternoon in the pumpkin patch. Phil Urban (concert)
The West Columbia Riverwalk Amphitheater (109 Alexander Rd.) concludes the fall edition of the Rhythm on the River concert series with a performance from Phil Urban. Urban will pay tribute to Elvis Presley and run through some classic hits by other artists starting at 6 p.m. The dance group Goins Dancing performs at intermission. Haunted History Tour
If you’re looking to learn a little something while enjoying some pre-Halloween chills, the Lexington County Museum (231 Fox St.) has the event for you. The museum’s 16th annual Haunted History Tour features ghoulish guides leading guests on a spooky tour of the museum property. Visitors will hear ghostly stories, including strange and unusual events in Lexington County’s history. You’ll also learn about strange remedies in the 19th century and meet memorable specters and ghosts along the way. Halloween Spooktacular
The South Congaree Arena (395 Oak St.) hosts a Halloween Spectacular. Dress yourselves and the kids up and head over for an evening of ghoulish thrills and yummy candy. SC Jazz Masterworks Ensemble

Woofstock

Craftsmen’s Classic Art & Craft Festival
The SC State Fairgrounds (1200 Rosewood Dr. in Columbia) presents their annual Craftsmen’s Classic Art & Craft Festival Oct. 27 (10 a.m.-8 p.m.), 28 (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and 29 (11 a.m.-5 p.m.). Check out the work of numerous American artists and craftspeople, with demonstrations throughout the weekend. A range of styles and budgets are on display, from traditional to contemporary.
