Join the Friends of the Gilbert-Summit Branch Library Club. Library lovers everywhere are invited and encouraged to join this special group.

These dedicated volunteers advocate for libraries, raise funds, sponsor programs and special events and host used book sales.

Membership dues begin at $5 for individual. Also available are family, organizational/business and lifetime membership. Forms are available at the Gilbert-Summit Branch Library or call 803-785-5387.

CONGRATULATIONS to Destiny Suarez who recently held a signing of her new book “A Beautiful Exchange” at the Faith Full Cafe last weekend. Her book is a 30-day Christian devotional for women. Each devotional helps women choose God’s way of thinking instead of the world’s.

CONGRATULATIONS to Gilbert High senior Ryan Hinderaker. He won the SCIBA Major Landers scholarship competition for future instrumental music majors. Ryan will represent SCIBA in the state competition.

CONGRATULATIONS to GHS student Skylar Hayes. She was elected SC HOSA President and received 2nd place on research persuasive writing and speaking.
