Thousands raised for Lexington shooting victim memorial

Posted

The Lexington community is rallying together to support the family of a woman who died in last week’s Augusta Road shooting.

Alexis Azarigian, 25, died Feb. 25 from injuries she sustained in the Feb. 21 shooting in Lexington.

The man who shot her, Joseph Randolph Henry, 28, is now facing a murder charge.

A gofundme account has been created to help offset the medical costs the family incurred while Azarigian was on life support. It has raised $10,095 since it was created Feb. 27.

Azarigian was an organ donor. Her family donated “her heart, liver, kidneys and other organs so she could save the lives of others,” according to the gofundme page.

The Alexis Victoria Azarigian Memorial Fund can be found at www.gofundme.com/alexis-victoria-azarigianmemorial-fund .
