Tragedy for local business owner

Posted

This week, the Quail visited the Lexington School District 4 meeting. The board signed the annual Ethical Principles displayed in the district’s office.

Dave Toole reported brick discoloration at Swansea High seems to be from a leak caused by a construction defect. The contract requires the contractor to repair at no cost to the district.

Now to the sad news. The Quail learned that a Swansea area resident had been involved in a fatal car accident on Sharon Church Road. Mark Cassidy died at the scene.

Mark was fixing up his family’s store in Swansea, A Bargain Center, and was planning on reopening.

Mark’s father Ross had run the store for years and had to step away from operating the business due to medical conditions.

The Quail and his friends send condolences to Ross and his family.

The Quail wants to remind everyone to drive safely during these winter months. Rain and fog have once again proven to be a deadly combination and extra care needs to be taken this time of year.

For now, stay safe, my friends...
