Different look, same result at Lexington County Baseball Stadium for the host team.

For the second time this season, the Macon Bacon paid a visit to the Lexington County Blowfish. This time, the Blowfish adopted their Pancakes' jerseys looking for a different outcome from the season opening loss to the Bacon.

With bench coach Kianna Jones in her second straight game as interim head coach, the Bacon once again defeated the Blowfish 8-3.

Lexington County head coach Jonathan Johnson utilized seven pitchers against Macon. The Blowfish pitchers combined to walk 12 batters, allow eight hits and struck out 10.

Macon took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first with an RBI double play. Following a 45-minute lightning delay, the Bacon made it 2-0 with an RBI single from Dalton Reeves.

Back-to-back one-out singles by Talmadge Lecroy and Will Sykes of Gilbert set up a scoring opportunity for Lexington County. Ryan Ouzts scored Lecroy with a single, but was tagged out advancing to second base.

The fourth inning opened with starter Luke Kissenberth allowing a single to J.C. Legrand and walk to Harrison Aulds. Matthew Alter relieved Kissenberth and gave up a walk to load the bases.

A wild pitch by Alter allowed LeGrand to score and back-to-back RBI fielder's choices by Reeves and Brian Herrera extended the lead to 5-1.

Lexington County rallied for two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Crosby Jones hit a one-out double and scored on the University of South Carolina's Elijah Lambros' triple.

An RBI sacrifice fly by River Bluff graduate Alex Urban of Clemson scored the Gamecock Lambros. The Blowfish got no closer as the Bacon picked up a run in each of the last three innings.

Macon (4-1) capitalized off three walks each issued by relievers Parker Whittle and Hunter Steger and Kyle Bork went 4-6 with three doubles and two RBI.

Lexington (2-3) will try to snap its two-game losing streak Wednesday at defending Coastal Plain League champion Savannah.
