The 1st 11 St. Anns Alley West Columbia homes are under contract or sold.

Phase II of the 34-home single-family neighborhood will include 15 new homes.

The River District project has released 10 of the 15 lots for sale. 5 are expected to be ready in July.

St. Anns Alley homes have 2 and 3 bedrooms with 2-1/2 baths from 1,100 to 1,600 square feet.

Included are 9-foot ceilings, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.

Many have little or no yard to maintain. Each house has 2 parking spaces.

The neighborhood includes a park, landscaping and sidewalks.

Susan Scoff, the 1st to buy a home, “I wanted somewhere that was going to be walkable,” she said. ‘I wanted to live close in town, somewhere I could get out.”

Alan Bevard said that proximity to downtown led him to buy in March.

“I work downtown, so something close to everything was what I was definitely looking for,” he said.

Within walking distance are French-inspired restaurant Black Rooster, Savage Craft Ale Works, Cafe Strudel and other dining and shopping choices.
