The City of West Columbia has launched new enhancements to its water billing system, aimed at providing customers more control and convenience when managing their water usage, city officials say.
The new system includes Smart Water Management, a tool that tracks customers' water consumption and sends alerts for unusual activity, helping prevent high bills and potential leaks, the press release said.
“We are excited to bring this smart tool and upgraded system to our customers. It is a major step forward in making water management easier, more efficient, and more responsive to the needs of our community,” Mayor Tem Miles said.
Customers can now also monitor their property using “vacation mode,” as well as schedule auto-draft payments online on the new system optimized for mobile devices.
