The City of West Columbia has partnered with the SCSweep campaign in a statewide cleanup effort. Organized by PalmettoPride, this campaign is from April 25 to May 4.

On Saturday, May 3, at 9 a.m., the City of West Columbia is hosting a cleanup. Attendees will meet at City Hall, located at 200 N 12th St., to coordinate area pick-ups.

Adults will be picking up litter along some of the main corridors in West Columbia, while children and young adults will pick up litter in side streets with less traffic. 

Attendees must sign up on the West Columbia website, and volunteers are being asked to bring pick-up sticks, gloves and vests if possible.
