Zaquan Payden Glover, 21, of West Columbia, has been identified by Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher as the man who was shot and killed in a home in Cayce on May 23.

The home was located on Granby Road and the shooting happened around 4:27 a.m., according to the coroner. Glover was shot many times in the upper body and died at the scene.

“In a related incident, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department got into a vehicle pursuit with what is being reported to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office as the suspect’s vehicle in the above homicide. It was reported that deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department attempted to pull the suspect’s vehicle over but the suspect/driver fled and a chase began. It was reported that deputies forcefully disabled the car near the State Farmer’s Market at which time the alleged suspect who is identified as Aaron Franklin Aycock, 26, of Lexington exited the vehicle and opened fire, also shooting himself,” according to the release from the coroner. “Mr. Aycock was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.”

Aycock died on May 24 from that gunshot wound.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Cayce Department of Public Safety are investigating.
