West Columbia mask law expires

City Council to meet in-person

The City of West Columbia’s face covering mandate ended Saturday.

The City of West Columbia will hold an in-person West Columbia City Council meeting, Tuesday. The regular meeting is at 6 pm at 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia.

The meeting will also be live streamed on YouTube at https://youtu. be/7ns5QFyJojE .

There is no item on council’s Tuesday agenda in reference to a face covering mandate.

A covid-19 vaccine has been made available to everyone in South Carolina over the age of 16. About 3 million have been vaccinated.

West Columbia passed its mask ordinance last July. The first virtual council meeting was held in April of 2020. Most of council’s meetings have been virtual since.
