What caused Vanessa Biery’s death?

Posted

An autopsy of Vanessa Biery, wife of Dr. Adam Lazzarini, is not yet complete.

According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, the official autopsy May 3 at MUSC in Charleston found no obvious cause of death.

Toxicology and other tests are being performed to determine her cause of death.

Dr. Lazzarini’s attorneys claim Mrs. Biery’s death was “most likely” due to natural causes but it is not the official autopsy findings.

The autopsy Lazzarini attorneys refer to was a private autopsy, said Fisher’s office.

Her husband was charged with involuntary manslaughter earlier this month after a man died of a gunshot wound at Lazzarini’s Cayce home Oct. 9.
