Tim Perry is back in Lexington County.
The former Airport baseball coach returns to the area to take over the White Knoll program. Perry led Airport to a successful stretch of baseball before leaving to take a job in the college ranks.
He started at Coastal Carolina as the director of player development and analytics. He moved to Winthrop in 2025-26, where he was recruiting coordinator and pitching coach.
At White Knoll, Perry will replace former head coach Dolan Crolley, who left to become head coach at Blythewood. Crolley led the Timberwolves to a (10-15) record and one of its best region finishes in years in 2026.
Perry returns to an area he knows well in Lexington County. He spent 10 years as the head coach at Airport. In that span, he led the Eagles to a 165-96-2 record with two state championship appearances in 2013 and 2018. The team also won four region championships.
He will have a tough task ahead of him at White Knoll. The Timberwolves play in the state’s largest classification, in one of the toughest regions in baseball.
The Timberwolves will have to play Chapin, Lexington, River Bluff and Dutch Fork, all teams that have won state championships in recent years.
