WIRE donates $10,000 to Becky’s Place

Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative’s chapter of Women in Rural Electrification (WIRE) hosts a charity golf tournament each October to raise money for Becky’s Place at Lexington Medical Center.
MCEC Chairman Marvin Sox presented a check to LMC Foundation representative Beth Wingard for $10,000 for this year’s gift of support May 13.
Since 1999, Mid-Carolina WIRE has raised over $140,000 for Becky’s Place to help cancer patients who cannot afford prostheses, wigs or other needed services.
