WKHS football camp starts next week

White Knoll High School’s summer Football Camp happens next week, June 14-16, at the White Knoll High School campus on Platt Springs Road. It’s open to rising 2nd to rising 8th graders ages 7 to 13. The sessions run from 8:30 a.m. until noon. If you have not registered, act fast through June 14, “To Infinity and Beyond.” For information or registration, call 359-0329.

Red Bank has been in the national news the past couple weeks, everywhere from FOX News to Newsweek and more, due to the story about the pending removal of the Jesus sculpture and biblical artwork on the front of Red Bank Baptist Church. It was originally installed 11 years ago but current membership has voted to take it down. The most recent update is that another local church, so far unspecified, has agreed to take the sculpture and artwork once it’s removed, so it will continue to serve a purpose, just on a different house of worship.

St. James Lutheran Church is hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross June 11. The drive will be open from 2 until 7 pm. Call 755-6592 to schedule your donation appointment or stop by during those hours. St. James Lutheran is at 1358 South Lake Drive in Red Bank in the church fellowship hall.
