Your journal is the story of your life and times

I enjoyed your piece about Michael Aun keeping a diary. I have kept one for many years. My paternal grandmother suggested I start keeping one when I moved from Lexington in 1981. She had kept journals.

My earlier ones were in notebooks and through a number of moves have been misplaced. However, 25 years ago I decide to keep my journals in nice leather books.

It’s a pleasure to read about my life through the years, especially in tough times it’s helpful to see how I weathered them.

When each of my 6 grandchildren were born I started keeping journals for them.

Last year I presented my oldest granddaughter with hers when she graduated from high school. It chronicled her life from the time she was born.

I believe in keeping journals.
