Ihope each of you has recovered from the hectic rush of the holiday season. The reentry into a normal work schedule and the return of students and teachers to school is a hard transition. To ease that shift, free Friday’s are back at the Riverbanks Zoo!

There is also a discount of 50% off the regular price of the Zipline Tour, which includes a 1,000-foot flight over the scenic Saluda River. Zipline Tours are scheduled weekly. Email jyoung@riverbanks.org for more information.

Irmo citizens can volunteer to serve on several town committees for beautification, Arbor Day, outreach, roads committee, and event committee.

A reminder that the filing deadline for an open seat on Irmo Town Council is January 17. Call Renee Caviness at 803-781-7050 for information. The special election will be held March 3.

Baxter Teal will hold a benefit concert for Aleigh, Gracen, and Sophia at Chapin Town Hall January 17 at 7 pm. Teal is the National recording artist of Deepfield and a Chapin native. Bring a friend and enjoy the music and fellowship!
