Despite covid-19, the state is proceeding to rebuild Malfunction Junction.

SC Department of Transportation will close overpass bridges at Holy Trinity Church Road and Parr Road for I-26 construction.

The anticipated detour schedule is as follows:

• Holy Trinity Church Road: April 20, 2020 – Dec. 21, 2020

• Parr Road: May 13, 2020 – Jan. 13, 2021

Detour routes will be appropriately signed to direct traffic.

SCDOT reminds the public to please use caution while driving through work zones.

The project will improve a 16-mile segment of I-26 from Exit 85 in Little Mountain to Exit 101 in Irmo. The project will widen I-26, modify 3 interchanges and replace 7 overpass bridges.
