The July Town Council meeting has been moved from July 9 to July 16. All residents are urged to attend. Work session begins at 5:30 and meeting is at 6 pm.

The July Town Council meeting has been moved from July 9 to July 16. All residents are urged to attend. Work session begins at 5:30 and meeting is at 6 pm.

PELION POLICE have received their new vests. Mark Oct. 17 on your calendar for the Pelion Police fundraiser with a car show at Forts Pond Elementary.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Brad Livingston, Josh Quattlebaum, and Parker Free. Happy anniversary to Donald and Betty Jeffcoat.

RAILROAD AVENUE is totally destroyed with the sewer system coming up that road. Hopefully it will be opened again soon. If you wish to connect to the system, call Town Hall at 803-894-3535.

The SC State scholarship was awarded to Dawn Kneece who also won the Scarlet and Grey scholarship. The SC Mr. FFA scholarship recipient is Lee Padgett who also won the SC Soil & Water Conservation Society scholarship. Colby Miles received the Early FAFSA Award. College of Charleston Merit scholarships went to Ian Kell and Amber Lucky. The Clemson Gateway2Clemson scholarships were given to Alexis DeLaLuz Aquino, Anthony Holm, Ian Kell, and John Rafael Perry. The Clemson Palmetto Pact scholarship was awarded to Abagail Goff, Ian Kell, and John Rafael Perry. Whitney Craft won the Ken Bower Teacher Cadet scholarship and the College Plan scholarship. The Clemson University Prince Endowed scholarship recipient is Abagail Goff. The Clemson University Presidential Grant went to Ian Kell. Lee Padgett won the Lexington County Clemson Club scholarship and the Ernestine and Walter P. Rawl scholarship.
