CWC Chamber aims for speedy business recovery

Posted

Tim James is back on the streets, this time as a business leader rather than a cop.

The former law enforcement officer is the new Interim President and CEO for the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

He, the chamber and its members face challenges, not the least of which is how covid-19 has affected local businesses.

James will be interviewing those businesses to learn how the chamber can help them recover and grow.

Chamber board member Tom Ledbetter told the Chronicle that the board has faith in James’s ability to continue the chamber’s growth and maintain a high level of integrity.

The chamber expects a seamless transition and good communications with the their new president and CEO.

Managing growth and maintaining a unified voice for the community is a high priority. Ledbetter stated that successful chambers focus on Main Street.

The chamber has around 330 members.

James welcomes input from the community on how best to serve them.
