OUtdoor fun

Boat Inspection: Jul. 4 and 6, 10 am-12 noon. Get your boat inspected at Lake Murray Dam at Lake Murray for free by SCDNR Law Enforcement Division. SCDNR officers will perform a quick inspections of your boat to make sure you have the required safety equipment and proper boat and motor registration for your watercraft before you launch. Those who are not in compliance with safety or registration requirements will not be ticketed during the complimentary inspections. Instead, they will be given an opportunity to correct the problem before they launch their boat. Officers will also be available to answer questions and give boaters tips on how to stay safe on the water.

Murders & Mysteries Walking Tours: Jul. 5, 8 pm at the Riverwalk Amphitheater at 123 Alexander Rd, West Columbia. Attendees will learn about some of the more gruesome aspects of West Columbia’s history including bootlegger and murder stories. Attendance is free, but plan ahead for parking! Attendees should be 18+ or have parental permission.
