While many of us brush our teeth excessively, many don’t do it enough. The health of your teeth is important.

Make sure that you are following simple protocols to keep them clean.

We all want that pearly white smile and fresh breath.

Here are some simple tips to help you below:

• Brush at least twice a day. Don’t go to bed without brushing, this could lead to decaying and cavities.

• Take time brushing your teeth- move your toothbrush in a circular motion to help remove plaque. Plaque buildup can lead to gingivitis.

• Don’t forget to brush your tonguethat also can get plaque buildup, and plays a part in bad breath.

• Purchase toothpaste that contains fluoride. This helps protect your teeth from potential decay.

• Floss, floss, floss-Floss at least once daily. This helps stimulate your gums, reduce plaque and help with inflammation.

• Use a mouthwash. But, since everyone’s mouth are different. Ask your dentist what they recommend.

• Drink water- Drink some water after each meal. This helps wash away sticky and acidic foods after eating.

• Cut back on sweets- Sugar turns into acid in your mouth and eats away at the enamel on your teeth.

• Dental visits- Visit your dentist for cleanings at least twice a year.
