How do you feel about boys claiming to be girls?

How do you feel about them competing against girls in sports?

Is this an unfair advantage? You bet it is. But it looks like it will be legal.

I asked our 5 county school districts what their policies on this are.

They said they follow the SC High School League rules. Of course, there is no law yet nor does the league have a ruling on it.

Why it’s unfair

Boys are physically stronger than girls, especially in their high school years.

I will admit women are long-haul better bets. They endure the pain of child birth, raise our kids, do a zillion things for men, are a lot prettier than we are and outlive us, too.

Our new president Joe Biden has signed an executive order ending what he calls sex “discrimination.”

This includes “gender identity” in schools, sports, the military and elsewhere.

That could mean men who identify themselves as women can’t be excluded from using women’s rest rooms, locker rooms and participating in sports.

His critics argue this ends privacy and protections for women and girls.

The language indicates that women-only sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms at federally funded institutions will have to be open to biological men who consider themselves female.

That would include all schools and colleges that accept federal dollars. Quick-Jobs program.

A critic’s position

The order allows men who identify as women to compete in women’s sports, said Christiana Holcomb, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian advocacy group.

“This policy has been adopted in Connecticut with “devastating impact,” she told The Epoch Times.

In 2 years, 2 ex-boys swept 15 girls’ track championships formerly held by 9 girls. This violates Title IX guarantees of equal opportunity, she said.

The US Education Department said Connecticut violates girls’ civil rights.

What about surgery?

Transgender athletes who undergo sex-change procedures that lower testosterone levels lose much of their physical advantages. But research indicates this takes years and still leaves a number of physical advantages.

Transgenders say their change improves their wellbeing, but research shows about 30% attempt suicide.

Last year, the US Supreme Court ruled that the ban on sex discrimination in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act covers gender identity.

Conservative Neil Gorsuch wrote the opinion. Fellow conservative Brett Kavanaugh disagreed. Judges are trying to write law, he said.
