The Town of the Lexington hosted the annual Lexington County Chili Cookoff at the Icehouse Amphitheater in downtown Lexington last Sunday. Around 30 teams entered their recipes into the cookoff and gave out samples to festival attendees. Freeway Music Lexington provided live music throughout the day. The event was sponsored by Old Mill Brewpub and Blowfish Baseball. Winners of the cookoff were:

• Showmanship Award: Red Hot Deli Peppers

• People’s Choice Award: Team Keg Cowboy

• Non-Traditional Award: Journey Church

• Traditional Award: Carolina Wings Proceeds benefit Lexington Police Department’s Adopt-A-Cop and Cancer of Many Colors.
