Lexington sheriff announces re-election bid

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon kicked off his reelection campaign Sept. 15.

“I was humbled with the hundreds of people that attended my campaign kickoff and look forward to serving 4 more years,” Koon said.

Attendees included Lexington County Clerk of Court Lisa Comer, Lexington County Register of Deeds Tina Guery, SC House Rep. Paula Calhoon, US congressman Joe Wilson, SC Senator Katrina Shealy, Sheriff Jay Koon, SC Attorney General Alan Wilson, 11th Circuit Solicitor Rick Hubbard, County Councilman Darrelll Hudson, Councilman Bobby Keisler and Councilman Glen Conwell.
