Lexington Softball Wins the Varsity Blues Invitational

The Lexington softball team completed a dominant showing this weekend to win the Varsity Blues Invitational Saturday.
The 5-0 shutout win over North Augusta saw Riley Ford strike out 12 while allowing five hits in five innings.
She also had a three-run homer in the third inning which was followed by a solo shot by Jessica Senn.
Sarah Gordon started the five-run inning with an RBI single.
It was one of three tournament wins Saturday by the Lady Wildcats. They started the day with a 16-4 victory in four innings over Aiken, followed by a 3-1 win over Lugoff-Elgin.
In the five tournament victories, Lexington outscored its opponents 44-9.
