Congratulations to Pelion High students who received scholarships. The Elsie Rast Stuart scholarship was awarded to Charlie Barrett Allemond. The Roy and Ruth Nichols scholarships were awarded to Anna Marie Bazemore, Cheryl Lynn LaDue, and William Skyler Oswalt. The Pelion Alumni scholarship was awarded to Austin Brooks Shumpert. The Noah Kneece Pelion Young Farmers scholarship was awarded to Austin Brooks Shumpert. The Ernestine and Walter P. Rawl scholarship was awarded to Austin Brooks Shumpert. Adam Taylor Eubanks and Jaidon Bailey Shumpert were recipients of the SC Tuition Grant. Trevor Martin Dunn was the recipient of the Michelin Technical Scholarship. Congratulations to all. More scholarship awards will be forthcoming.

Pelion Library will host technology training June 26 at 10:30 am. Registration is required. Preschool Storytime is June 26 at 11 am for ages 1-5 years. June 21 at 10:30 am the Columbia Marionette Theater will lead the group on an exploration of life on Space Station Harmony, a remote outpost located at an intergalactic crossroads. Participants will learn about the dedicated crew living on the station with their families and the colorful passengers passing through from across the cosmos. This event is for grades K-5.

Yarn art is June 22 at 10 am for ages 13 and up. North of 50 meets June 25 at 11:15 am for ages 60 and up. Tween Extreme meets June 25 at 3:30 pm and will journey into the library for summer boredom busters, including cooking, storytelling, and board gaming. This event is for grades 4-7. TeenScene will design bath bombs that resemble planets in the solar system on June 27 at 6 pm. This event is for grades 6-12.

The Pelion Senior Center will go vegetable voucher shopping June 21. Daily activities include socializing, bingo and crafts, exercise, lunch, games and puzzles.

What wonderful friends! The Convent Choir visited on Sunday afternoon and blessed us with songs. We have been unable to attend church for several weeks due to Benny’s illness. So the choir visited us!! We are so grateful and blessed for our church family!
