The fearless leader of the Chapin Chamber, Rebecca Hines, is stepping down to run for the Lexington Richland District 5 School Board. She has been a blessing to Chapin businesses and will be missed!
The 3.1 mile Justin Pepper 5K Walk, Run, Ruck, is August 29-Sept. 7. Proceeds will provide scholarships to youth who excel in sports. The foundation in past years has given more than $35,000 to students. Visit runsignup.com for details.

Perry for his 22 years of service to the Irmo community. He is retiring, and Chief Courtney Dennis will take his position. You can come and show your gratitude to all those on the Irmo police force on Irmo Police Appreciation Day, Saturday, Aug. 1, 11 am–2 pm at Irmo Community Park.
Congratulations to Lily Black, Mia Andrade and Harrison James and Chase Cline, Chapin High School golfers traveling to compete in the World Championship. These 12- to 14-year-olds worked hard and will do well representing the Midlands.
