Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified a man who was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on June 16 at approximately 5 am in the 1900 block of Airport Boulevard in Cayce.

Robert S. Householder III, 43, of Ridge Spring, was walking across the roadway when he was struck by a motor vehicle, according to Fisher.

Householder was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, remained at the scene.

The Cayce Department of Public Safety is investigating.
