Lexington County set a new covid-19 recovery record this week.

Although daily case reports have been in double digits, no one has died of covid-19 for 7 straight days.

Columbia and Richland County have had no deaths in 4 of the last 5 days.

Health officials credit early virus detection and improved disease treatment.

Lexington County had 76 new cases and Richland County 79 Tuesday.

Greenville and York counties continue to lead the state in new cases.

Greenville had 240 and York 127 reported Tuesday.

7,375 individual test results were reported statewide Tuesday.
