Resolutions you’ll want to keep

Posted

With the New Year right around the corner, it’s a great time to start thinking about your resolutions.

Setting goals at the beginning of the year gives you an idea of what it is you want to accomplish. You will solidify your longterm vision for what you want to achieve.

“It’s so important that entrepreneurs make resolutions every January. By getting those goals out of your head and down on paper, you will be one step closer to making them happen,” says Annalisa Parent, chief executive officer of Laurel Elite Books.

Many people are skeptical about setting New Year’s resolutions, fearing that they will not see them through. Just remember, you can never accomplish a goal that you don’t set.

Consider these resolutions for entrepreneurs:

• Write a book. Writing a book in your area of expertise will solidify your role as an expert and you will be in the spotlight.

• Work with a professional. Parent recommends a publishing house committed to scaling businesses and highlighting expert authority to potential clients.

• Commit to growth. A book will help get you and your business noticed, bring in new customers, and put the stamp of approval that you are an expert in the field.

• Go beyond your comfort zone. Try new things. You may find they are extremely rewarding and enrich your professional life.

It’s time to give your career the time and attention that it deserves.

Parent has coached hundreds of writers and has taught over 100 writing courses around the world. For more information about Annalisa Parent or her book, visit www.laurelelite.com .
