Butter Bean Tasting
Head over to the State Farmers Market (3483 Charleston Hwy. in West Columbia) for a delicious morning of butter bean tasting. Along with the Farmer’s Market’s regular vendors, they’ll have samples of butter bean hummus, bags of fresh butter beans and free recipe cards for butter bean dishes. Bob Strickland & Freestyle (concert)

Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. in Cayce) continues its Nashville Nights concert series with a performance from Lone Hollow, a duo consisting of Damon Atkins and Rylie Bourne. The Market at Icehouse
The Town of Lexington hosts its Farmer’s Market at the Icehouse Amphitheater (107 W Main St.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is primarily intended as a farmer/grower and artisan market that encourages local production. Join the S.C. State Museum (301 Gervais St. in Columbia) on July 15 for Friday Night Laser Lights. “Enjoy a special show featuring lasers and CGI visuals choreographed to music inside the museum’s 55ft digital dome, the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Planetarium,” the museum describes. There will be a cash bar with craft beer, wine, specialty drinks and non-alcoholic beverages and a food truck on site. Admission is $10.
