Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green is requesting assistance in the shooting incident that occurred Monday, June 28, in the 300 block of Coventry Lakes Drive.

At approximately 1:30 pm, officers were dispatched to the incident location in reference to a shots fired call. It is believed that an older model blue-gray BMW drove by the residence and fired a weapon into the house.

Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who stated that he had been having an ongoing social media dispute with another individual who he believed fired the weapon into the residence. The individual was positively identified in a lineup as Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr., 19, of Lexington. A white male and a black male were seen with Garway, with the white male being the driver of the BMW. Officers found evidence to support that there had been a shooting. No injuries were reported.

Detectives have issued warrants for Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Firing a Weapon into an Occupied Dwelling for Roosevelt Erik Garway Jr.
