This week’s “Quail’s Roost” report will be shorter than normal due to repairing the “Roost” after last week’s storms. However, there was some excitement in several areas I visited.

Let’s start with the announcement of Gaston Police Chief Shawn Mohundro resigning. The article appears in this issue. Then, I heard rumors of another chief possibly leaving. Details will come when verified.

I was able to visit a lot of area advertisers and just wanted to thank them for their support. The “Quail” asks that you shop with these advertisers as they are small business owners with terrific customer service and always treated me right. The hometown cooking can’t be beat.

Finally “The Quail” wants to wish a Happy 5th birthday to Ka’Mariana Ware. Her mother Janice works at Hwy 39 in Wagener. I wanted to send this extra special birthday
