White Knoll has selected an alumnus and assistant coach from a rival school to take over its girls’ soccer program.

Sarah Moore was announced as the new Lady Timberwolves’ head coach on June 28. She replaces Robert Hunter, who led the program to a share of the Region 5-5A title and an appearance in the Lower State semifinals.

Hunter resigned at the end of the season to continue pursuit of his coaching commitments with Columbia College.

Moore played soccer at Lexington under longtime head coach Chris Fryland. Upon graduation, she attended the University of South Carolina-Aiken.

She began her teaching career at White Knoll in January 2019. Moore then returned to her alma mater and served as junior varsity coach for 3 seasons. In addition, she will enter her 2nd season as coach for Lexington Soccer Academy.
