You can brighten Mr. Bobbie’s day

They call him Mr. Bobbie or Uncle Bobbie. Daily he would sit in his golf cart on Two Notch Road in Gilbert and wave to the children and all who passed by.

Mr. Bobbie became popular and everyone who drove by would wave back to him. Sometimes people would just stop their cars and talk with him for a few minutes.

Many locals in Gilbert said Mr. Bobbie’s waves and hellos made their day. After Mr. Bobbie was not seen in his golf cart, many in Gilbert wondered where he was.

Shortly after his son posted that his father became unable to care for himself and is at the Lowman Home in White Rock.

His son said he would love to receive well wishes through cards. If you would like to brighten Mr. Bobbie’s day here is his address. The Heritage at Lowman, Bobbie Harmon, P.O. Box 444, White Rock 29177.

The Youth Ministry at Beulah United Methodist Church wanted to do something special. They decided to buy 2 new flags to place in the Family Life Center. Soon new American and Christian flags were ordered.

Last Sunday both flags were dedicated to the memory of 2 members during the contemporary W\worship service. The American flag was dedicated in the memory of Jason Gosset, and the Christian flag in the memory of Peter Provost, both church members.

Gossett was a graduate of Gilbert High and served in the Army National Guard. Provost served in Afghanistan.

Members of the Youth Ministry wanted to remember both men who selflessly served our country and loved the Lord with all of their hearts. Family members of both Gossett and Provost were present during the dedication ceremony.

CONGRATULATIONS to Ricky TIllmon who is Gilbert High School’s new Assistant Principal. Congratulations to Gilbert High School 2020 graduates Laiken Corley and Jordan Keisler who recently received their CNA, Certified Nursing Assistant degrees.
