13 Lexington County Republican volunteers donned patriotic apparel for the Chapin Labor Day Parade. They walked the length of Monday’s parade route carrying flags in memory of the 13 service members killed by suicide bombers in Afghanistan two weeks ago. They stopped the parade briefly for the Chronicle’s Val Augustine to snap this photo. Afterward, they rejoined the parade in single file, one behind the other.
