Lazy Creek Taphouse pours out good times in Chapin

Posted

Lazy Creek Taphouse, owned by Dillon Greenway and Connor Pickett, has been a popular watering hole for those who appreciate a chill atmosphere with high-quality craft beer.

Greenway, a native of Chapin and alumni of the University of South Carolina, always hoped that a brewery would open in the area. After traveling for his career and becoming a father, he decided to start his own business in 2019. Initially, it was a success until COVID-19 hit, but the establishment was able to overcome the devastating challenges that affected so many businesses at that time.

“Since then, everything has been amazing,” Greenway said, “especially the outstanding and loyal crowd we have.”

On any given day, you’ll see a variety of friendly folks socializing both indoors and outside in Lazy Creek Taphouse’s beer garden and turf area. There’s plenty of seating, and patrons are welcome to bring their kids and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

“Everyone loves the hometown ‘vibe’ we have,” Greenway said, “and feels at home when they’re at Lazy.”

With 12 different beers and ciders on tap that continuously rotate, it’s easy to find a drink to please all taste buds. They also offer flights of four different five-ounce beers as well as all types of wine. Products are available to purchase in both single and six-packs to take home, and there’s even a meat vending machine.

Grabbing a bite to eat at Lazy Creek Taphouse is exciting, too, as they have a different food truck on property every night of the week. Trivia is also offered on Tuesday nights for those seeking some friendly competition.

Whether you’re looking for a great place to unwind after a long day, celebrating a special life event or just want to relax in fun surroundings, Lazy Creek Taphouse is the perfect place to do it. Further details can be found at lazycreektaphouse.com, and their address is 306 St. Peters Church Rd. in Chapin, S.C.
