177 arrested in state ‘cleanup’ operation

The SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services arrested 177 wanted offenders statewide, including 10 in Lexington County.

The arrests were made during “Operation Palmetto Cleanup” July 21-27.

48 SCDPPPS warrant teams across the state conducted the sweep to locate and apprehend wanted sex offenders, domestic violence offenders, gang members, violent offenders and those who have not reported to their Probation/Parole Agent.

Offenders arrested on the warrants will go through a violation process and face possible prison time.

The timing of Operation Palmetto Cleanup was in conjunction with national and state Probation and Parole Supervision Week.

Offenders on supervision with outstanding warrants are encouraged to contact their local county probation and parole office to resolve any outstanding warrants.

According to SCDPPPS, those arrested in Lexington County were:

• William Morgan, Receiving stolen goods

• Devin Riley, Domestic Violence 2nd

• Austin Easterling, Burglary 3rd

• Thomas Steele, Burglary 2nd

• William Deaton, Manufacturing or distribution of cocaine 1st

• Gregory Skinner, Burglary 2nd

• Kyle Lucas, Possession of cocaine

• Ashley Adkins, Attempting conspiracy to possess drugs

• Joshua Echevarria, grand larceny

3 handguns, approximately 20 grams of meth, and .17 grams of heroin were seized.
