When we first met Lindsey Miles, she was Lou Kennedy’s right hand at Nephron Pharmaceuticals.

It was clear she was destined for great things.

Now she is Nephron’s Vice President of Operational Excellence and has been named a 2021 ChangeMaker by Multiplying Good in South Carolina

She earned a University of South Carolina degree in chemistry and as Environmental Coordinator ensured Nephron complied with federal regulations.

She started an Adopt-a-Highway program and is actively involved with Pawmetto Lifeline, American Heart Association, Palmetto Health Walk for Life and Saluda Shoals Foundation.

She serves as a board member of the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber, Columbia Opportunity Resource, Hunger No More of the Midlands, The Riverbanks Zoo and Central SC Alliance Committee of 100.

Other local women named ChangeMakers are:

• Jennifer Wise serves as School District 2’s Coordinator of Mathematics and elementary math methods instructor at the University of South Carolina.

She has worked with Educational Testing Services, the SC Education Oversight Committee’s Mathematics Standard Review Board and the SC Professional Review Committee.

She has been named SC’s Teacher of the Year, Albert Einstein Distinguished Edu cator Fellow and received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. .

• Emmylou Todd is Coordinator of Special Services for School District 2. She teaches fellow teachers and non-disabled students to understand how capable her students are.

She earned a BA in history, a Master’s +30 in Special Education and is completing a PhD in Special Education Leadership at the University of South Carolina.

She strives to foster inclusive learning to ensure that those who feel different no longer feel left out.

ChangeMakers raise awareness and financial support for Students In Action, Multiplying Good’s youth leadership development program.
