Cayce Sanitation Department personnel received the Whole Sole Award from Mayor Elise Partin. The city workers went above and beyond the call for a Cayce resident. Honored were: Johnny Adkin, James Jeffcoat and James Wise.

On Oct. 27, a Cayce resident fell near her home. The Cayce sanitation team saw her and came to her aid. They walked her home, stayed with her until they knew she was going to receive medical care. They also made sure she was not alone.

She contacted city leaders to let them know what happened. On social media sites like Next Door and Facebook she said she was “overwhelmed by their kindness.”

CAYCE HAS AGAIN received national rec ognition as one of the best and most economical places to live. GOBankingRates put the City of Cayce as No. 23 on their list.

Cayce residents have the convenience of living near the Riverwalk, downtown Columbia, all major highways and Columbia Metro Airport.

Cayce leaders and staff work to keep costs low but enjoy a full-service city. With 20 miles of Riverwalk and trails, a rich history, a business-friendly atmosphere, the booming Cayce River Arts District, safe neighborhoods and small-town feel, Cayce is proud to have be No. 23 in the nation.

THE TOWN of Springdale has an opening on the Planning Commission. Call Town Hall at 803-794-0408 to apply.
