CHAPIN TEACHER IS TOP IN SC

Chapin High School teacher Amy Carter has been named South Carolina Department of Education’s Teacher of the Year. Her school celebrated with a parade and performance from the school band. Carter said she hopes to make an even greater impact as an advocate for public education by inspiring hopeful future educators. She will receive $25,000 and a new BMW to drive during her 1-year term as an education ambassador.
