Officers Auld and Hammill with Officer Josh Addy of the Cayce Department of Public Safety (middle) after participating in the Lake Murray polar plunge Saturday. Over 200 brave souls showed up in 47-degree weather to help raise funds for Special Olympics South Carolina. The event raised $40,000. South Carolina Highway patrol, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, South Carolina Transport Police and Lexington School District 1 superintendent, Dr. Greg Little particpated.
