Classic Car Show is Saturday

If you love classic cars, you’ll want to be at St. James Lutheran Church on South Lake Drive this Saturday for a car show featuring dozens of classic rides. The event begins at 9 am and runs until 1 pm, when trophies will be awarded by the panel of judges. Food vendors will be available, so plan on sticking around to find out which car wins an award, and eat lunch while you are there.

This Friday night, October 4, Lexington Church of God is offering a “Parents Night Out” from 6 until 9 pm. The church will provide food, entertainment, and background-checked chaperones so you can have a few hours to yourselves for a much needed “date night.” Contact the church office for information at 803-957-6675.

White Knoll football is red hot right now, and the Timberwolves have a shot to go 6-0 on the season this Friday night as they travel across town to play the Lexington Wildcats. It’s guaranteed to be an at-capacity crowd and an electric atmosphere as the natural rivalry between the crosstown teams will be even more intense with the stakes this high going in. Go T-Wolves! Game time is 7:30, see you there.

With Halloween and fall festival season right around the corner, if your church or group or business in Red Bank is having an event in the coming weeks, drop me an email at least two weeks prior to the event and I’ll pass that info along here in this column.
