Covid claims 1 Lexington County life

Cases continue to rise with 108 in the county

Covid deaths remain relatively low in SC but case rates are high.

Part of that can be credited to increased testing and more experienced patient care..

The Department of Health and Environmental Control said 12, 452 test results were received Monday.

But 10,037 tested negative as not infected.

1 middle-aged Lexington County death occurred last Friday.

Columbia and Richland County had 2 middle-aged and 1 elderly death reported Monday.

Lexington County had 108 new cases and Richland County had 135 as of Monday.

  • 12,452 new individual test results reported statewide (not including antibody tests)
  • 19.4% tested positive as infected.
