Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves (concert)
The Nashville Nights concert series at Steel Hands Brewing (2350 Foreman St. Cayce) rolls on with a performance from Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves. The band plays their passionate Americana-tinged roots rock after an opening set from a local act at 6 p.m. Singer/songwriter Michael Haney hosts the evening, and there will be food and drink specials, including Nashville Hot Chicken and Sweet Tea Ale. Cinderella (musical)
The Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College (7300 College Blvd. Irmo) and the Chapin Theatre Company present “Cinderella.” The magical fairy tale is reborn in this version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's “Cinderella.” Adapted for the stage, this romantic tale will warm the hearts of children and adults alike. Dusty River Bluegrass (concert)
Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor (710 Meeting St. West Columbia) welcomes Dusty River Bluegrass. The veteran North Carolina group plays a mix of classic bluegrass, modern newgrass and their own original music from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is a $10 donation. Each ticket includes a board, treats to add to it, snacks and drinks for one person, and a lesson on arranging a board from Wagboards. Cayce Cooldown
Grab the kids and head to Granby Park (100 Catawba St. Columbia) to beat the summer heat with the Cayce Cooldown event. Taylor Nation, a live band sing-along tribute, invites fans to take a remarkable journey through the eras of Taylor Swift's momentous musical evolution. Toucan Tuesday
The Riverbanks Zoo & Garden (500 Wildlife Pkwy. Columbia) launches Toucan Tuesday once again for the summer months. Guests visiting Riverbanks get buy-one get-one admission to the park with the donation of two cans (or bags and boxes) of non-perishable food items for Harvest Hope Food Bank.
