Do you ever feel lonely?

Posted

One of the signs that you have become a senior adult is you start attending funerals for “old people” who are only 5 or 10 years older than you.

As we become survivors of spouses, relatives, or close friends we may find ourselves in a pit called loneliness.

This pit can be hard to climb out of because our adversary the devil would like for us to be in a place where we think we are all alone in this world.

Please rebuke that attack because that feeling is a lie.

It is just that—a feeling, not a reality.

If you ask Jesus into your heart in repentance of your sins, He comes into you and he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Read what David wrote when he came under this kind of attack:

“Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint!

“Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.

“Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings!” (Psalm 61:1–4)”

Has your name ever been tattooed onto somebody because they loved you?

If so, the person who did that may now have tattoo regret if their love for you faded away.

If you are a child of God in Christ, God will never have tattoo regret.

Oh? You didn’t know God has a tattoo of you?

In Isaiah 49:16 God is telling those who belong to Him, “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands!”

Friend, with God in your heart, you will truly never be alone.

Next Week: Do you want to live?
