Gilbert invites you to public hearings

3 public hearings will be held at Gilbert Town Hall Monday, Sept. 13 at 7 pm.

2nd hearing of an ordinance regarding communication towers and antennas and the 1st reading of the business license ordinance will be discussed.

The final hearing is for the 1st reading of an ordinance regarding amendments to the Lexington County/Town of Gilbert Animal Control Ordinance.

Gilbert will hold a municipal election on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Voter registration for this election must be completed no later than Sunday, Oct. 3. Voter registration by mail will be accepted if postmarked by Monday Oct. 4. This election will be for mayor of Gilbert and two Gilbert council members.

GILBERT SCOUTS Pack 60 helped raise the American flag at the Gilbert High vs Aiken football game last week. Several Pack 60 Scouts will hold banners in memory of the Midland’s fallen soldiers at the 5K Run and Walk Tunnel to Towers race in Columbia Friday. Pack 60 Scouts helped fill goodie bags.

After not meeting for a year, the Hollow Creek Community Club met this week for a catered meal and made plans for the coming year. Dale Swygert said members plan fundraisers to help our community.
