If you have a date this Valentine’s Day, consider yourself lucky.
A new study found our state is near the bottom for those looking for a relationship.
Online research site Wallethub ranked South Carolina 36th worst on their “Best and Worst States for Singles” list.
The study took into account dating economics, dating opportunities, and romance and fun.
Wallethub found that, generally, states with low cost of living means more frequent dates.
It also found living in a state with a higher proportion of single adults automatically improves your prospects.
Unfortunately, those 2 factors didn’t translate for SC, despite having relatively low costs of living here.
An accompanying study which ranked 182 best and worst cities for singles did find that Columbia was 34th best for singles. It even beat Charleston, which came it at number 50.
Atlanta, Ga. was found the best city for singles in the nation.
Apparently WalletHub has not yet found Lexington County on their GPS.
