HAPPENINGS WITH THE LEXINGTON COUNTY BLOWFISH

Archer Connor Hartley of state champion Pelion Elementary School shoots the “1st Arrow” at this past Friday’s home game against the Piedmont Pride.

Pelion native Thomas Peel, 94, a 2-time Bronze Star medalist and veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam threw out the 1st pitch this past Friday.

Hunter Garris of Columbia International had 3 RBI playing for the Lexington County Blowfish split squad.

Lexington County Blowfish pitcher CJ Czerwinski struck out 6 in 4 scoreless innings this past Saturday in Game 1 of a doubleheader against Savannah. The Blowfish lost 1-0 in Game 1 and 14-1 in Game 2.

Former Lexington County Blowfish head coach Jonathan Johnson, who led Columbia International to the NCCAA title this past spring, returned to coach the split squad during this past Friday’s exhibition game against the Piedmont Pride.
