The seasons are finally changing! The fall colors are on full display at Lake Oolenoy, nestled along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Tis the season to take long rides to the mountains and soak in the artistry of fall colors on the trees!

Dutch Fork Choral Society presents A Winter Hope Christmas with voices and strings December 12, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. It’s a free concert. Call Jim Buck at 803-318-0488 for information.

Congratulations to the Chapin High school marching band, which placed 3rd in the Lower state competition.

Sundays at Lowman will present a free concert November 3 at 3 pm with the New-berry College Singers and Madrigals. The show will be held at the New Life Chapel. For information, call 803-732-8800.

Pottery night hands-on workshop will be at the Irmo Library November 29, at 6:30 pm. All materials are provided, but registration is required. Master gardeners will be at the Irmo Library to show you how to make your winter garden colorful and more beautiful November 13 at 1 pm. Call 803-798-7880 for information on both programs.

Preserving heirlooms, photos, and documents can be tricky. The Chapin Library will have an informative session November 4 at 6 pm to show you how.
